It makes for some quick baked apples as well as my grandmas sweet potatosliced apple casserole alternating thin slices of raw sweet potatoes and apples and sprinkling a little brown sugar and maple syruptime consuming otherwise

Even though it didnt completly core a larger apple it still made it easier to core

And yes the loop end is sharp and will hurt your hand if you push on it another reviewer complaint

Um well i dont really understand this because you couldnt just put your hand on the top of this and push since you would have no control over how it cuts into your apple

All apples are cored neatly and the metal structure is stronger than cheap plastic that is found in other models
