The 10x eyepiece provides the most useful magnification. It seems like there's always a reason that you want to zoom in on something tiny.

He was fascinated watching the stinger move from side to side. Crisp images of its still twitching legs and mouthparts. Works well for coins, stamps and jewelry. Also for seeing imperfections in things like diamonds.

Also substituted led bulbs for the tungsten - bulbs purchased from amazon illuminate very nicely - diffuse white light. Comes with replacement bulbs as well. It makes sense to remove the bulb if you are not using it.

I am using it in the classroom setting to examine bug specimens and i could not be more pleased with the product


The whole thing feels fairly solid and ive been very happy with the purchase so far


Im also an avid amateur astronomer so i am picky about the quality of my optics

I was worried that i might need more magnification than 60x for smd but i usually use 10x


These are darn near as good for a fraction of the price


It was incredible to see it at 30x


I purchased this one after returning a similar but cheaper model

    This scope has a black dot in the center of the view which apparently is an internal dirt speck as all outer and eyepiece lenses have been dusted and cleaned

    I bought this amscope to have around my home greenhouse and identify insect and arthropod pests

    The manual leaves a lot to be desired and the grammar and spelling tell me its from overseas china or somewhere written by nonnative english speakers
