To watch nonamazon programming there are apps available for most of the major brands netflix hbo now hulu etc please make sure your provider is listed

Since its omnidirectional the antenna doesnt have to face any specific direction but you do have to keep it away from any metal objects you cant stick this behind your flatscreen hdtv or next to a radiator because it will not work

As with all hdmi cables its a digital signal which means itll either work or it wont
