Damaged file system flash drive is faulty

L purchased this usb drive for the storage size 512gb which is just what l needed but after receiving this it worked okay the first couple of times then it just failed l was putting items on to it in to folders but when l was using this usb drive on another system it was just saying that all the folders were empty even as the storage was saying so much has been use the folders were still empty

Would suspect that this is a fake but couldnt confirm without doing some extreme technical digging

The firmware falsely reports 512gb capacity to windows or macos when its plugged in there is actually 4 gb of memory on board and when it gets full it deletes the old data in order to store the new data

Of course it very slow but when you copy files into memory stick after some minutes you cant find this files anymore
