The image quality is much better than i expected as it the sound and waterproof case was great for the rain forest and underwater shots
Get a quality microsdhc card and you will not be disappointed
The quality is great especially in the 1080p resolutions
A lesser quality card will only give you 720p at 30 fps mbme64daam

Packaging was just ok as all it had was a plastic container and all of the little accessories and the camera in plastic bags

I do recommend it especially if youre just grabbing broll footage or short clips

That said there are a few issues with it

The 30 fps 1080p frame rate is actually more like 30

This is awkward if youre trying to edit it with other footage or audio sources it wont be synced after a while

But this comes out to a little over 2 seconds off in an hour of footage so unless youre doing long stuff like i am it wont matter

The other thing is the file size compression is terrible

The last thing that i would consider a slight negative is that when you replace the battery the date resets to 112015

Not a huge deal if you have time to reset it but if youre just trying to change the battery and start recording again quick youll have to live with video files with a different time stamp
