Pros

The magnet holds the fly in place and you just run the tippet through the eye. Makes threading small flies so easy. Much quicker than threading the fly on by hand, even with magnification. Very nice little tool, works as advertised.

It takes all of the frustration out of the process. With my eyes getting older, this devise certainly helps. My husband really likes this little gizzmo when his fingers are cold and the hook eyes are small.

Problem solved with this little gem. Works like a charm! Works exactly as advertised.

Cons

This device is ok if you are using 8 9r 10 lb. Buy one of those small, wire threaders for a couple bucks instead.

My eyes are shot and the best advise my dr could give me was “catch bigger fish” with this i can use light gear again

I used this once and easily threaded several flies even threaded a size 20 easily

I have tried many threading tools with poor results

For all the money ive put into fly fishing this may be the thing that does more to keep me fishing
