We bought him a somewhat expensive name brand magnetic doodler when he was about 2 but its spent a couple of years getting dropped and stepped on and has developed several areas of the screen that no longer function

The screen is in 4 sections and each section has its own color

Color is somewhat light in place because of the color

Also on the small magna doodle the pen is not stay in place so when you try to carry it dangles around everywhere

Besides these boards allow creativity with magnet shapes used like stamp but i have not given the shapes to my little one yet because the size is too dangerous for him

First i do have to state i was a little disappointed in the smaller unit being black and white when the picture clearly shows both doodle sketches as having the color
